EMBROIDERERS' GUILD OF AMERICA. The EGA, a nationally chartered needlework organization, is divided into regions and chapters. The Dubuque Fleur-de-lis Chapter in the Heartland Region of the national guild offers programs on various types of embroidery, bobbin lace, and beading. Chapter members continually learn through active participation in monthly meetings, holiday clubs, workshops, annual chapter retreats and national and national seminars.

Bi-annually the chapter hosts an exhibit open free to the public giving members an opportunity to exhibit needlework created over the preceding year.

Membership dues in 2010 of fifty-five dollars annually included a subscription to the quarterly NeedleArts magazine; a monthly newsletter, Stitcher's Line; an open door to all meetings; and access to workshops and seminars.
