HELES, John B. (Worthington, IA, June 25, 1874--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 15,1956). Co-founder, MEDICAL ASSOCIATES. Heles was a graduate of St. John's University, Collegeville, Minnesota and received his medical degree at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at St. Louis, Missouri. He became assistant to the chair of surgery and assistant instructor at the college before beginning his practice in Dubuque in 1903.

In association with Drs. Clarence LYNN and Wayne A. JOHNSTON, Heles established the Dubuque Clinic in 1924. This later became Medical Associates. Heles held membership in many professional organizations and served on the staff of the FINLEY HOSPITAL (THE).
