BEHR, Norbert. (Sherrill's Mound, IA, Jan. 8, 1913--Dubuque, IA, Dec. 30, 2000). Funeral director. Behr was a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Dubuque since 1934 and was elected Dubuque County Coroner for three terms. He was the founder of BEHR'S FUNERAL HOME established in 1936 in Dubuque and the Miller Funeral Home established in 1975 in East Dubuque, Illinois.
Behr was a charter member and past president of the Dubuque Funeral Directors Association. He was also a charter member of the Tri-State Men's Garden Club and member of the DUBUQUE ARBORETUM AND BOTANICAL GARDENS, 330 Club of the DUBUQUE SHOOTING SOCIETY, Beekeepers' Association, and the Dubuque German Club.
