KOCH, Daryl. In 1947 Koch was the first Dubuque boy to receive the National Boys' Club Junior Citizenship Award. The honor was open to three boys from each member club. Those nominated were judged by the club to be outstanding in loyal to his club, honesty to his community, and exemplary participation and leadership in his club activities and programs.
