CRICKETS. Established in 2010, Crickets was owned and operated by Cathy Ertl Hubbard, granddaughter of Fred Ertl, Sr., founder of The Ertl Company. The Ertl Company pioneered in the development and manufacture of toy replicas.

Located at 2nd and Main in Dubuque, Crickets was a specialty toy and gift shop offering items from newborn to adult. Hubbard had previously operated Pixie Stix on Bluff Street. This company had offered children's toys.

The 2012 directory gave the address as 197 Main.
