CHEWNING, Leslie. (Platteville, WI, June 28, 1875--Dubuque, IA, January 28, 1937). A professional musician for many years, Leslie Chewning was associated with many Dubuque dance orchestras and once had his own with his brother Charles CHEWNING called the CHEWNING BROS. ORCHESTRA.
