STEELE, Mary Paula Zaytoun. (Rocky Mount, NC- ). Orthodontist. In 1988 Steele became the first woman practicing orthodontics in Iowa or North Carolina certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. She was also Dubuque's first orthodontist to be board certified. In 1990 Steele maintained offices in Dubuque and Guttenberg, Iowa, and was a partner with her father and brother in a practice in Raleigh, North Carolina.
