COLEMAN, Webb. (Dubuque, IA--  ). The son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Patch, Coleman became interested in decorating and design while working for [[HAL JUDGE HOME FURNISHINGS]]. He moved to California and attended the University of California art school and then opened his own shop selling draperies, doing interior design, and designing furniture.  A graduate of Purdue University and the New York Institute of Art, he had a role in decorating homes of such Hollywood stars as Forrest Tucker, Raoul Walsh, and Helen O'Connell.

His fame began with his interior design of the McCullough Motor Corporation building in Los Angeles. In 1955 when the new Marineland of the Pacific, a three million dollar oceanarium, opened its dining rooms featured his design which allowed every table a view of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island.
