PINS, Arthur W. (Guttenberg, IA, Oct. 27, 1910--Dubuque, IA, Aug. 29, 1994). Athletic sponsor.  Pins established the [[OLD TIMERS' ATHLETIC CLUB]] on Kennedy Road in Dubuque in 1948 and operated it until he retired in 1975.  Active in Dubuque sports, he sponsored championship teams in basketball, bowling, hardball, softball and tennis.  In 1948 his hardball team became the Iowa State Champions.  In 1982, Pins was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame.
