In May, 1959 students graduated from four Dubuque high schools for the last time. As aging Catholic high schools became to expensive to maintain, officials of the ARCHDIOCESE OF DUBUQUE chose to replace them with WAHLERT CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL which opened in the fall.
