RUNDE, Paul J. (Dubuque, IA, Aug. 15, 1933--East Dubuque, IL, Mar. 15, 2012). Runde graduated from LORAS ACADEMY in 1952 and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1960 with a B.A. degree in English, history and education. He served in the KOREAN CONFLICT from 1954 to 1956.
From 1952 to 1972, Runde worked for his father at Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque. In 1972 he and his wife, Shirley, became co-owners of Runde Chevrolet. They divorced in 1982 and he married Nancy O'Connor. He retired from the car business in 1999.
