STEWART, DeWitt Clinton. (Montgomery County, IA, Mar. 1, 1851--Unknown). Stewart farmed for many years and then retired to Dubuque. He served as a township assessor for five years, township trustee for three years, and school district treasurer for eight years. In 1891 he was elected to a two-year term as county supervisor and was re-elected in 1893.
