THEISEN, Leo N. (Holy Cross, IA, Jan. 17, 1902--Dubuque, IA, Nov. 9, 1995). Theisen and his wife, Kathryn, opened the Theisen Battery and Electric Company in 1927 on West 8th Street. They expanded into Theisen's Farm and Home Store in 1954. THEISEN'S HOME-FARM-AUTO developed into nine stores located throughout eastern Iowa.
In 1995, Theisen and his wife were inducted into the DUBUQUE BUSINESS HALL OF FAME.
