H. A. JORDAN. In 1879 Henry A. Jordan opened this photography studio in Dubuque. Jordan learned his trade in New Haven, Connecticut and then had thirty-seven years in the business operating studios in Utica and Syracuse, New York.
The Dubuque studio employed seven. He also operated studios in Dyersville and Delta, Iowa.
The 1883 and 1884-1885 Dubuque City Directory stated that this business was located on the southeast corner of 5th and Main and the southeast corner of 8th and Main.
The 1886-87 through 1890-91 Dubuque City Directory listed the southeast corner of 8th and Main.
