CORN BELT PACKING COMPANY. A local meatpacking firm. Corn Belt Packing, occupying the buildings constructed for the [[DUBUQUE BREWING AND MALTING COMPANY]], opened for business on October 15, 1919. Fred Kretschmer succeeded A. B. McCue as president and is generally given credit for making the company a profitable enterprise.
