BALE, J. (Barnstable, Devonshire, August 26, 1813--Unknown). Bale came to the United States in 1851. His eldest son, an architect, had come to Dubuque to draw the plans for the ST. CLOUD, and, through his influence, his father came here in 1856. He worked in the areas of bell hanging and gas and steam fitting.
