BREDE, John F. (Mar. 30, 1866--  ). Brede began his career as a bookkeeper in the [[DUBUQUE NATIONAL BANK]] where he remained two years. For the next twenty-one years he was a salesman for [[RYDER BROS. WHOLESALE GROCERS]], [[COATES & WATTERS]], John Mehlhop, Son and Company, AND [[JOHN T. HANCOCK & SONS]].

BREDE, John F. (Mar. 30, 1866-- ). Brede began his career as a bookkeeper in the DUBUQUE NATIONAL BANK where he remained two years. For the next twenty-one years he was a salesman for RYDER BROS. WHOLESALE GROCERS, COATES & WATTERS, John Mehlhop, Son and Company, AND JOHN T. HANCOCK & SONS.

For three years he was associated in the PEASLEE, BREDE COMPANY and then sold his interest to become a partner in BREDE, LANG AND COMPANY. In 1910 this business partnership was ended and Brede began the EAGLE CHEMICAL COMPANY.
