Scott became a proud member of the Knights of Columbus at the age of eighteen.  In 2001, he built the first Davis Place Apartment building to help those in need. The Davis Place grew into a family type of environment and community Scott cherished. In 2014 there were four Davis Place Apartment buildings housing 62 men.

POTTER, Scott. (Dubuque, IA, May 22, 1956--Dubuque, IA, Feb. 17, 2014) The son of William and Elaine “Pal” (Lange) Potter, Scott married his wife Dawn on November 5, 1983 at SACRED HEART CHURCH. They had four children.

Scott became a proud member of the Knights of Columbus at the age of eighteen. In 2001, he built the first Davis Place Apartment building to help those in need. The Davis Place grew into a family type of environment and community Scott cherished. In 2014 there were four Davis Place Apartment buildings housing 62 men.

Scott and his father Bill opened their first business, a Ford Dealership in Monona, Iowa called Potter’s Ford, in 1977.

In 2011, Scott and Dawn opened the Hairport Salon, situated on the corner of Garfield and Johnson. Scott and Justin, his son, acquired BFM (Kieler Auto Mall) in 2012. In October, 2013, Scott purchased HESS BRICK COMPANY.
