KEY CITY IRON WORKS. The Key City Iron Works was established by Woodward and Strinsky in 1869.
The 1884-1885 Dubuque City Directory was located on 8th between Iowa and Clay. Bridge bolts were listed as a specialty. By 1885 Neumann and Hodel were listed as general machinists and founders.
The 1899-1900 through 1911-12 Dubuque City Directory gave the address as the southeast corner of Jackson and 9th. Frank Zehetner was listed as the founder in 1901. In 1910 Zehetner and Pitschner were listed as general machinists and founders.
The 1916-1917 White's Dubuque County Directory listed 890 Jackson as the address.
