GUTER, Lawrence J. (Rev.). (Waverly, IA- ). First principal, [[WAHLERT HIGH SCHOOL]]. Guter, principal of Wahlert High School for sixteen years following its opening, resigned in 1975 to become the principal and executive coordinator of Beckman High School in Dyersville, Iowa. A graduate of [[LORAS COLLEGE]], Guter taught religion and history from 1945 until 1953. Receiving his master's degree, he taught history and served as dean of the seminary department at Loras until 1956.
