PETER GROSS. Between 1892 and 1894, Peter Gross moved to Dubuque and opened a saloon at 1386 Clay. He relocated in 1896 to 1704 Washington after John Comes had purchased his building on Clay.
Gross managed his saloon until his death in May 1901. Gottried Duenser took over the management of the saloon and relocated it to 1900 Washington. It remained open until PROHIBITION.
