Plans for the hotel were accepted on February 24, 1883, by [[PAGE, John|John PAGE]] from the famed architect, [[HEER, Fridolin|Fridolin HEER]]. An estimated three hundred guests attended the grand opening of the hotel in September of that year. The hotel was four stories tall and offered fifty-two rooms and the Page apartments, a dining room, and two tap rooms. Until 1923, John Page was the manager. An estimated three hundred guests attended the grand opening of the hotel in September of that year. The hotel was four stories tall and offered fifty-two rooms and the Page apartments, a dining room, and two tap rooms. Until 1923, John Page was the manager. He was succeeded by Kark PAGE.
