Frank Rhomberg, vice-president and director of the Union Transfer Company, was also the founder, president, and manager of the Dubuque Tanning and Robe Company. This company, later renamed the Rhomberg Fur Company, is today known as [[RHOMBERG FURRIERS]]. Politically, he served many years as the chairperson of the Dubuque County Democratic Central Committee.

RHOMBERG, Frank M. (Dornbirn, Austria, Jan. 25, 1869-Dubuque, IA, May 4, 1919). President, Rhomberg Brothers Company. Rhomberg settled in Dubuque in 1889 and for nine years traveled for the company of L. A. Rhomberg, a wholesale liquor firm operated by an uncle. He then entered into a partnership with his brother Alphonse to form the establishment of Rhomberg Brothers Company, liquor wholesalers, in which he served as the company president.

Frank Rhomberg, vice-president and director of the Union Transfer Company, was also the founder, president, and manager of the Dubuque Tanning and Robe Company. This company, later renamed the Rhomberg Fur Company, is today known as RHOMBERG FURRIERS. Politically, he served many years as the chairperson of the Dubuque County Democratic Central Committee.
