MULHOLLAND, Mary Ambrose (Sister). (Stanberry, MO, Mar. 7, 1892--Dubuque, IA, Dec. 6, 1979). Mulholland, a graduate of CLARKE COLLEGE in 1921, returned to her alma mater and served as its president from 1941 to 1948. She moved to Chicago from 1948 to 1958, but returned to Clarke and taught history until her retirement in 1965.
From 1965 to 1976 Mulholland was a regular speaker on current events at programs for the elderly and conducted historical research. A history of Clarke was left in the archives of the college at the time of her death.
