KNIGHT YORK CROSS OF HONOUR. The highest degree in the York Rite of Freemasonry, the Knight York Cross of Honour is conferred only on those who hold the highest office in each of the four bodies of the rite, the honor was awarded to [[LYONS, Edwin Lee|Edwin Lee LYONS]] in 1979.

Lyons held the office of commander of Siloam Commandery, Knights Templar in 1972; master of Dubuque Council, Royal and Select Masters in 1973; high priest, Royal Arch Masons in 1974; and master of Metropolitan Lodge of Masons in 1978.
