EIGHMEY, Charles H. (Greenfield, NY, Nov. 28, 1834--Dubuque, IA, Aug. 28, 1921). Eighmey came to Dubuque with his parents in 1850. Educated as an attorney in the law office of ex-Governor [[HEMPSTEAD, Stephen|Stephen HEMPSTEAD]], Eighmey practiced law in Dubuque from 1860 to 1870 as an associate of Judge [[COOLEY, D. N.|D. N.
