ST. ROSE OF TIME HOUSE OF STUDIES. The closing of the MT. ST. ROSE SCHOOL led to the property being given to the DOMINICAN ORDER for a seminary. The property became known as St. Rose of Lima House of Studies. This seminary provided “a four-year course of theology and training for Dominicans studying for priesthood.”
The theological seminary was bought by WAHLERT CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL in 1958 to house the priests and nuns that taught there. In February 1983, the ARCHDIOCESE OF DUBUQUE sold all the land and buildings to CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH.
