In 1958 Fladoos won the first of three consecutive Iowa Junior titles. She was runner-up in 1958 in the Iowa Women's tournament and won the contest in 1960. She was runner-up in 1958 and 1959 in the Western Junior championship before winning in 1960. In 1961 Fladoos was runner-up in the National Junior. The same year she won the Women's State championship for the second consecutive year. In August 1961, Fladoos qualified for the Women's Western Amateur tournament held in Pasadena, California.
