SWIFT, Samuel. (Benton, WI, Oct. 15, 1875--Dubuque, IA, July 19, 1952). County recorder. A barber by trade, Swift served as county recorder from January 1, 1907 through December 31, 1912. In 1916, Swift was president of the Dubuque Poultry Association. He served in the state legislature in 1933-1934.
