MCCANN'S SERVICE INC. In 2010, McCann's was located at 690 West Locust. In that year it was the only independently owned and operated service station in Dubuque.

The site had been the location of a service station for years. In the 1950s, a Standard Oil Company station was located there. When Standard Oil chose to sell its smaller stations across the United States, Richard Bracewell through his R. B. Oil company, purchased the site.

The station was purchased from Mulgrew Oil Company by Mike McCann in 1985. The Food Mart on the western side of the building was added in 1986.
