In June 1915, the theater closed for the remainder of the summer season. Arthur C. Thompson, manager and owner, with other men from the city had chosen to work for a company selling punctureless inner tubes for automobile tires in twenty-northeastern Iowa counties. (1)

STAR THEATRE. The 1909 through 1923 Dubuque City Directory stated that this business was located at 479 Main.

In June 1915, the theater closed for the remainder of the summer season. Arthur C. Thompson, manager and owner, with other men from the city had chosen to work for a company selling punctureless inner tubes for automobile tires in twenty-northeastern Iowa counties. (1)
