WALSH, James E. (Jan. 8, 1927--Dubuque, IA, Feb. 18, 2018). Walsh, president of BIRD CHEVROLET, was the founder and president of the WESTSIDE BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION. He served as president of the Lions Club and was a director of FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF DUBUQUE and the DUBUQUE BOYS' CLUB.
Walsh received the first Project Concern "Man of the Year" award on September 18, 1973 and a plaque of special recognition from the Boys' Club in 1977.
