SAUER, Daniel. (Ashassenburg, Bavaria, Germany, 1829--Dubuque, IA, Feb. 2, 1911). Sauer came to the United States in 1854 and settled in New Jersey. In 1861 he moved to Dubuque where he became involved in river business for fifty years.
He was an officer in the DIAMOND JO LINE operated by Joseph "Diamond Jo" REYNOLDS for many years.
