ELLWANGER, Ralph. (Dubuque, IA, Oct. 23, 1882--Dubuque, IA, Dec. 30, 1933). Businessman. The son of [[ELLWANGER, John Peter|John Peter ELLWANGER]], Ralph and his brother William joined their father in the operation of the [[JOHN ELLWANGER COMPANY]]. The brothers were also owers of the Fitzgerald Cigar Company, wholesale and retail distributors of tobacco products.  For many years, Ellwanger served as the secretary of the Dubuque Bridge Company.
