MICHEL, Bernard A. (Dubuque, IA, July 13, 1860--Dubuque, IA, Nov. 5, 1948). Michel, a physician, was one of the founders of FINLEY HOSPITAL (THE). Educated in the public schools of Dubuque, Michel graduated from the School of Pharmacy of the University of Pennsylvania. He returned to Dubuque and worked in the RUETE AND MICHEL drug company, but later returned to the University of Pennsylvania Medical School from which he graduated in 1889.
