NILLES, Duane. (Dubuque, IA. Mar. 7, 1935--Dubuque, IA, Apr. 13, 1997). Nilles graduated for LORAS ACADEMY in 1953 and served on the DUBUQUE POLICE DEPARTMENT from 1962 to 1970.
He graduated from LORAS COLLEGE in 1970 and received his master's degree from Loras in 1978. Nilles taught social studies at STEPHEN HEMPSTEAD HIGH SCHOOL for twenty-four years.
