KAUFMAN'S HOTEL. The 1858-1859 through 1861 Dubuque City Directory listed Clay between 5th and 6th. A. Kaufman, an alderman of the city, was the proprietor. (1)

The 1865 Dubuque City Directory listed "Kaufman House" at Clay between 5th and 6th.

The 1867 Dubuque City Directory gave the address for this business as the east side of Clay 2 north of 5th.
