INGHRAM, John. (Burlington, IA, Sept. 17, 1868--Dubuque, IA, Oct. 21, 1949). County auditor.  A newspaper advertiser and operator of his own printing company for several years, Inghram succeeded Theodore Scharle and served as Dubuque county auditor from January 1, 1915 to December 31, 1920.

A newspaper advertiser and operator of his own printing company for several years, Inghram succeeded [[SCHARLE, Theodore|Theodore SCHARLE]] and served as Dubuque county auditor from January 1, 1915 to December 31, 1920.   


After working as an editor at the ''Daily Telegraph'', Inghram operated the Enterprise Printing Company and then went to work as an advertising manager for the ''Times Journal''.  When he left the auditor's office, Inghram returned to the ''Times Journal'' and subsequently to the [[TELEGRAPH HERALD[[.  He remained with the paper until his retirement.
