KLEINSCHMIDT, John. (Dubuque, IA, September 9, 1860--Dubuque, IA, Dec. 31, 1907). Kleinschmidt attended the public schools until twelve years of age, at which time he entered his business career as a clerk in his father's store. He later became a partner in the business which was then conducted under the firm of F. Kleinschmidt & Son. (1) He eventually purchased his father's interest in the store and carried on business--J. KLEINSCHMIDT-- alone for a number of years. In November 1892 he sold out.
