SCHROMEN, Christopher. (Dubuque, IA, Aug. 10, 1869--Chicago, IL, Aug. 13, 1935).  Schromen entered business in 1890, at which time he bought of the estate the business of John Hess for the manufacture of show cases. Schromen manufactured show cases of all kinds and description, and established a large business shipping to the north and west and to all parts of Iowa. He was also involved in silvering and re-silvering mirrors.
