WEILAND, Thomas L. (Dubuque, IA, Dec. 3, 1943--Dubuque, IA. Jan. 5, 2014). Thomas, son of Leo and Mildred (Dress) Weiland, married Betty Osterhoff on August 1, 1964. He was employed at the DUBUQUE PACKING COMPANY, FDL FOODS INC., and at BARNSTEAD/THERMOLYNE before retiring in 2006.
An avid golfer, Weiland was the Men's City/County Champion in 1982 and in 1983 the Tri-State Tourney Champion and the Men's City/County Champion. In 1985 he was the Julien Dubuque Amateur Champion. He was proud to have achieved his first hole-in-one on August 1, 1998.
