NORTON NEWS AGENCY. The 1959 through 1974 ''Dubuque City Directory'' listed 310 E. 30th.
NORTON NEWS AGENCY. Norton News Agency began around 1903 when Patrick Norton began selling the ''Chicago Tribune'' on a street corner in Dubuque. By 2003 the business had expanded to a four-office operation which included the company's headquarters on Cedar Cross Road and branches in Sheboygan and Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Winona, Minnesota. The business past from Patrick Norton to his son James, and then to his grandson Jim and two siblings. In 2003 citing competition and consolidation in the market, the business was sold to three unnamed buyers.


The 1980 through 1987 ''Dubuque City Directory'' listed 801 Cedar Cross Road.
