He worked in Iowa City for Coordinated Estates Services before joining the WILLIAM C. BROWN COMPANY. He worked in several aspects of the business before being named president in 1977. He left the company in 1979 and spent the rest of his business career in real estate and the entertainment business in Florida and California.
