SEEGER, Ignatz. (Switzerland, Feb. 14, 1807---  ). Brewer. Seeger emigrated to America in December, 1849 and came to Dubuque in May 1851.  The following year he engaged in the brewing business. In 1853 his brewery burned down. He rebuilt it, but when completed, the arches were not strong enough, and the building came down.  After two years, he rebuilt it and carried on the business as the [[KEY CITY BREWING COMPANY]] successfully until 1868.
