IOWA NEWS. Successor to the DUBUQUE VISITOR. The first issue of the Iowa News appeared on Saturday, June 3, 1837. The operation was moved to the east side of Locust Street near Fifth where it remained.
Publication was suspended from October 14 to November 15, 1837 due to a lack of paper. Publication was again stopped from June 14, 1840 to May 29, 1841. The newspaper was closed in 1842 and the materials moved to Lancaster, Wisconsin.
