VERNON, Robert. (Unknown-Colorado, Feb. 25, 1978). Pathologist. Vernon had the vision that developed into [[UNITED CLINICAL LABORATORIES]] of Dubuque. A member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, American Board of Pathology, American Association of Blood Banks, and the Dubuque County Medical Society, Vernon also served on the Dubuque human rights, plumbing, and transportation commissions. He was active in P.E.O.P.L.E., an organization devoted to finding an alternative to an elevated freeway into Dubuque.
