TORBERT DRUG COMPANY. The Torbert Drug Company advertised itself in 1911 as the oldest and one of the largest drug houses in Iowa.
The drug business Williard H. TORBERT carried on was established by Timothy Mason, in 1837. He was succeeded in the business by P.C. Sampson. Torbert was his partner and succeeded him in the business. In 1874, Torbert operated a drug store at 756 Main. In 1882 he began to deal in the wholesale drug trade.
