JOHN G. BECKER & CO. Becker began appearing in city directories in 1895. The 1899-1900 through 1904-1907 Dubuque City Directory located this business at 2181 Couler Avenue. As early as 1901 a second store was located at 88 West Locust. By 1907 Henry Becker was listed as a partner. Anna Becker was listed with the company after 1907.
The 1911-12 Dubuque City Directory listed 2132 Couler.
The 1918 Dubuque and East Dubuque City Directory through the 1929 Dubuque City Directory listed 2162 Couler.
