PRIDE MONTH. Since 2017 recognition of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) Month events have been sponsored by local businesses and nonprofits. Pride Month was observed in June in recognition of the Stonewall Inn riots of June, 1969 in Manhattan.
