WERTIN, Theresa. (France--prior to 1886). Peter Wertin, Theresa's husband, was involved in the operation of the AMERICAN HOUSE and the ice business. Upon his death in 1859, Theresa Wertin became the proprietor of the hotel which she operated while raising four children.
